elihapa (464), Hawaii, USA Jun 4, 2008 on tap, Yardhouse. Pours a dark ruby color, quite attractive. Smell is of malt and fruits. Flavor is quite interesting: classic red ale sweeter malt + hop balance with fruit, but also features a subtle smokiness that adds character to this brew. Palate is light-medium. Finishes smooth and flavors linger on tongue. Flavors could have been bolder, but nice overall.

Decent but standard amber ale. carruthm (549), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 10, 2008 solid amber ale, good reddish pour with okay head. lots of malt in the nose and some fruity/caramel aspects to the taste. AleDrinker (1073), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jun 19, 2008 Solid red ale here. Big malty nose and flavor catch my attention. Probably my favorite out of the 12 beer sampler I got at the brewery. Lots of caramel and lightly roasted malts, LOTS! Good stuff.
