fidel (884), Livermore, California, USA Nov 8, 2009 Poured pale golden yellow, malty, grainy, little citrus, little hops, crisp finish. DrnkMcDermott (1831), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Nov 2, 2009 12 oz. bottle, trade with Daknole, Contract-brewed for the Mainland at Redhook’s Portsmouth, NH brewery. Bottled 7/7/09. Straight-up pale gold lager pour with a thin, fizzy head. A bit of haze in the thicker part of the glass. Some oxidation in the headspace that’s still in the glass, gives way to a bit of a stale beer smell. Taste is nice, though; a fizzy body that carries in some bitter hoppiness. Note of lemongrass. At least the malts give it a nice full mouthfeel. Hops become a bit more peppery toward the end. Decent. IkesNephew (12), Henderson, Nevada, USA Oct 29, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice crisp pale yellow, no cloudiness, with a thin white head. Grains, hops in the nose. Taste is the same, but more subdued. Crisp, clean tasting beer with a light body, but nothing very distinctive about it. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma was grainy and malty with some light hops. Flavor was clean & crisp with light malts, grains, and had a hint of orange. beerfest5 (128), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA Oct 21, 2009 on draft @ pelham east, tried it cause it was different, stupid, i know. not bad, middle of the road lager with no real distinctive flavor or taste, could be drinking a budweiser and i wouldnt know it. DonKi11uminati (43), , Indiana, USA Oct 20, 2009 I recently tried this beer on a trip to the APS/JPS conference on Kona. This is a decent lager. Not much head of course, but offering a little bit of hops and bitterness in the flavor. I find it interesting to try a Hawaiian beer, but it’s not quite enough to win me over coming from California... voiceofreason (44), New Jersey, USA Oct 5, 2009 Honeymoon : Maui
