There was a mild citrus aroma and some makt earthiness too. There was good carbonation and a good amount of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The taste was crisp & clean with a light lemony citrus flavor, slightly dry. There was a small hint of a hop bit towards the finish, but very faint. The head left a light amount of lacing. This beer was easy drinking and refreshing. NachlamSie (1657), Tennessee, USA

Bottled on April 21, 2009. Pours a very bright yellow with a good head. The aroma is white corn and hay, but pretty clean. Low levels of Eruopean hops are apparent. The palate is light, not too light, just right for a yellow lager. This is crisp and clean with no sour or bad vegetation in the flavor. This is refreshing and palatable. It’s good for those rare occassions I want one light lager. Jblauvs (643), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 4, 2009 Updated: Jun 9, 2009Appearance: Pours a clear yellow gold, with a touch of cloudiness. Even with an aggressive pour, I was unable to get any sort of head to form.
Aroma: Sweet summer corn, dry malts, and a little bit of bitter hop.
Taste: Honey sweetness, light, dry buscuity malt, bitter, metallic hops, with a fruity, light hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, crisp.
Overall: Probably one of the first craft lagers I have ever had. Has a unique flavor compared to other pale lagers, very refreshing and satisfying. Vertical Bacon Strips (924), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2009 Easy easy drinking. almost zero head poured, but tons of tiny happy bubbles kept a-commin. A lightly fizzy dirty straw colour with that was slightly hopped - nice quiet bitterness and prominent sweet cirtusy flavour and somewhat creamy. Not a lot in the aroma category and i had a hard time nailing down that part of it. Once again, I’d never say no to Kona Brews cause they go down really fine. weezfour (122), Oradell, New Jersey, USA

Was surprised to see a Kona on the mainland outside of HI. Much less NJ. Def a decent, easy-drinking summer beer. Recommended. jonno (608), Brisbane, Australia

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 21, 2009 2009 Bottle - Pours golden with a small white head...aroma is grain, honey, and only a slight lager skunk...flavour is grainy and rich, slight bitterness and grass...there is an off-putting canned corn presence throughout and lingers a bit, but that was the only real dislike I had...
