Cracker malts with a little bit of a leafy hop presence. Lots of carbonation with your standard lager characteristics. Light, malt and hop balance, crisp, and refreshing. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2009 I have to go against the ratings on this one. For a style that never asserts itself enough I thought this was quite a nice and characterful lager. Average appearance yes, but the nose was a nice combo of warm malts and lemony flowers. Taste was quite malty for the style, and had a nice lemony quality and a decent bitter finish. I really enjoyed this beer, drank it slighty warmer than ideal but I think that brought out the flavours. jimmack34 (570), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 11, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours gold with average head. Smells of plain malt, light, slightly fragrant. Tastes of some hay grass, and sweet malt. Nice fresh taste, refreshing island style, it doesnt disappoint. Its nothing outstanding, but very refreshing and good. Cavie (1489), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Thin yellow pour. Odd smell and a taste to match. Has a piney aftertaste. Has a tangy zip to it. I do not like the taste. They should get off the island more. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Pours a clear standard yellow with a nice thick finger of whitish head with some cracked glass lacing. Sweet and grassy nose, some honey and fruitiness. Solid maltiness, with a touch of grain husks, full bodied sweetness, and a herbal grassy hop finish. The first time I had this my parents picked it out knowing I like good beer and I was a bit worried, but it is a damn good lager. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Bottle, #459. Clear yellow pour with a small head. Interesting earthy flavor, but the aroma is of cheap lager and a bit of hop. Crisp finish. Decent for a lighter lager. zapprentice (312), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Also very popular on the big island. Basic everyday lager, smooth flavor. Great for a nice relaxing day on the beach. Some nice hop aspects. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a decent bubbly white head. Fruity hops and caramel in the nose. Flavor starts hoppy and sweet malts take over. More of a full mouthfeel than I was expecting. Finish is mostly sweet with only a slight bitterness.
