From six pack at a 4th of July party. Pours clear light golden with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Mild aroma, primary grainy malts with some floral notes, not much to describe. Sweetish grainy and toasty malt flavor, bit of grass and floral hop bitterness and hints of orange. Light to medium body and crisply tingly carbonation. Inoffensive and a good hot summer eve swillin’ beer.

Bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours to a clear, pale yellow colored body with a medium white head that quickly fades to nothing. The aroma is a bit of light, pale malts, grains, and the barest hints of floral hops. Taste is mild pale malts, corn syrup, and a tiny bit of hop bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonated.

Had this out of a keg at the Mensa AG in Denver, Colorado. It comes out a nice dark amber with a fairly substantial head, better than most lagers. Aroma is nice and malty with a touch of hops. Flavor is strong and malty, and has a substantial hop component - there is just a whisper of evergreen. Mouthfeel is lively, zingy and sassy, making it a delight to drink.

12 oz bottle from Ocean Wine & Spirits. Pours a thin clear golden orange with an average size fizzy quickly disipating bright white head. Aroma started off with a nice quick burst of crisp hops but that quickly fades. What’s left is more of an earthy dirt with some citrus, pepper, and grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation and almost a slight syrupy mouthfeel that finishes slightly dry. Flavor of citrus rind, earth and some pepper. Well it’s gonna be long before I want another one of these because it left me feeling rather bored.

Bottle. PKGD ON MAY1908. Light gold pour to this with a rather small white head. Nose is honey, light grains, sweet malt, and biscuit notes. Some spicy hops as well. Taste is sweet and malty with more spicy hops, touch of sourdough, honey and light lemon. Some yeast and grassy notes come through as well. Body is medium with a dense fizzy carbonation. Finishes with more bread and yeast notes, soft butter, lemon, touch of honey, grains and grass. Spicy hops trail off here.

20080628 12oz bottle Dark golden color with lasting tight white head. Aroma is sweet and a bit papery with light vegetal notes and mildly spicy (pepper) hops. Mouthfeel is substantial for a pale lager and alcohol is evident especially at finish. Sweet, doughy, and with hints of more peppery hops. Nothing remarkable about this one.

bottle. small (very quickly dissapating) white fizzy head into clear semi-sparkling golden body. small amount of lacing present. aromas of light floral perfumey hops, light hay malts, light grass, and light corn. flavor is light to moderate bitter throughout. light body. moderate finish duration. average carbonation. watery texture. not bad but not great.
