Commercial Description:
Longboard Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for five weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Gold yellow, virtually no head. White bread, malty aroma, flavor is pretty much the same. Mostly inoffensive. Sampled at the Raleigh WBF.

Pours golden with hardly any head or lace. Nose is pale malts. Flavor is the same with a not so pleasant finsih. I could chug this (which I did) but I can’t see drinking this regularly or ever ordering it on tap.

A- Clear golden color with minimal carbonation bubbles visible. Nice frothy head for an all-malt lager. S- Some hints of sweet malts but very faint nose. T- Crisp and malty with hints of metallic flavor which quickly subside. M- fairly thin and very carbonated. D- This would be a great alternative to a macro on a warm summer day. Very refreshing.

Bottle sampled. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of pale malts and grassy hops. the flavor is slightly sweet upfront, bread, and finishes lightly bitter. Thin bodied, ok for a premium lager.

Not much of an aroma, albeit malty with a standard gold pour. One finger white head, little bit of lacing. From here on out it is best described as an earthier, slightly more bitter Corona Extra.

Bottle courtesy of zinister. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of some citrus, earth, caramel. Tastes of dry malt, touches of citrus. Decent.

12 ounce bottle purchased at Safeway in Davis, CA. Aroma is full of vegetables, corn, and some DMS. Mild grassy hoppiness is also present. Not too pleasing. Transparent golden body with a small-medium white head and scant lacing. Light spicy hop flavors to start, becoming creamy and milk-flavored in the middle Plenty of doughy malts. Finishes quick and grassy. Slightly metallic, too. Fair enough.

Pours with lots of light foam, white and long lasting. The aroma is unremarkable, with a hint of cardboard. The taste is a bit salty but has a good hops finish. Palate a little watery, but not bad for a prem. lager. The most interesting thing about this beer is where it is from.
