The flavors compete against each other a bit. Finishes well to bring this lager up to average status. zach8270 (2135), Henrietta, New York, USA

Light gold in color with a decent sized white head. Aroma is nice and malty with just a touch of hops under it all. A little metallic and some flowery notes as well. Flavor was very smooth and well blended; sweet malts at the beginning that gives way to a decent bitter hop middle and a smooth and slightly nutty finish. I really liked this one. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 13, 2006 On tap at Old Chicago in Phoenix. Clear and light golden in colour with a medium sized head. Sweet and a bit malty. Kinda thin and very perfumed and flowery. Has an artificial feel to it sadly. Schultsc (486), Henderson, Nevada, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 12, 2006 On tap is superior to the bottled, contract-brewed mainland version. Neither beers have too much going on, however. No flaws to speak of, but leaves us wanting more in the way of flavor. Kona offers an unusually extensive lineup of light, bland beers. My theory is that they think people want those beers since it is so hot in Hawai’i, or that their tourist clientele desires it to go with their pub food--which is fantastic. Seek out their more exciting offerings which will not disappoint. freekyp (903), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA

Hawian Lager, I spy, gota try that... okay so it’s malty, and it’s a lager. That’s about it.... not bad, but had better. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
