Commercial Description:
Longboard Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for five weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Clear straw gold with a nice array of steady bubbles within. Small cap of firm white froth stays present throughout. No real lacing though, just a few spots. Aroma is plain but welcome of fluffy, dry whole grain goodness. Fresh, natural, and slightly sweet with a doughy center. Taste is pretty solid and the standard for an all malt lager. Sweet, firm, bready, and fluffy. Flavors are mild and long lasting with a nice malted grain taste and texture. Lightly spiced towards the finish with a grassy edged hoppy leafyness. Not bad. Very easy to drink. Feel is about medium and pretty firm with a holding texture of sweetish malt and a feathery dryness of flour grain and a light grassy finish. A solid lager. Sessionable and easy to quaff. A big thanks to my parents who always pick me up something from Hawaii when they make their annual winter vacation to the islands.

Bottle. Pours a straw yellow, with a medium, fizzy and quickly diminishing head. Grainy nose, somewhat sweet, and not very pleasant. This is the type of beer does nothing for me, except amplifies the tastes that I despise in BMC.

Bottle - Pours a pale yellow in color with a white head. Aroma is a bit hoppy with the smell of sweet corn mixed in. Flavor is of both hops and corny malt. Finish is nicely hoppy and lingering.

(12oz Bottles). Not terribly bad. Sulphur aromas masking a malty sweetness and slightly spicy/floral hoppiness. Clear, straw yellow. Fizzy white head. Malty sweetness with a bit of back-end hop bitterness. Thin-to-medium bodied. Finishes quite dry and crisp.

I was turned on to this on my recent Hawaiin cruise as it beat out the other BMC choices. Bottle. Poured light yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of corn and wheat. Taste is more of the same with some light fruity notes. Heavy wheat and corn aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium and slightly carbonated. Not too bad for a lager, beats bud lite any day.

For my dad. Poured a light yellow with a white head. The aroma was celery, carrots and grass. The taste had carrots with spicy green bell pepper. There was also some nasty moss in the finish. needs less vegetable character and could be cleaner.

Publix Supermarket, Tallahassee, Fl. - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden-orange pour with a light, bubbly white head. Aroma is mainly neutral with some fresh lake water accents, with just a touch of mint. Crisp, refreshing flavor with some grassy notes, and faint traces of hop fruitness. Finish is just slightly metallic. The mouthfeel is rather thick for a lager. Overall, drinkable and smooth.
