Flavor of hay, sweet malt and yeast .Light bodied that finishes spicy, skunky, and dry. Pretty average, but drinkable. I was expecting much worse coming from Hawaii GreatLibations (1454), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 24, 2006 Updated: Jan 21, 2008Pours like yellow gold w/ a decent head. Froth reduces quickly leaving a thin ring of lace. Aromas of malted skunk malts. Medium nectar w/ ample effers. A malty backbone supports nuances of vanilla, tropicals, all wrapped up with a nice hop bittering component. The finish is bittered nicely and leaves remnants of fruit. It pours like golden sunlight with a one finger head....aroma is lightly toasted malt which transcribes to the overall taste as well. A bit of a bitter finish, but not pronounced. Just the thing for quenching an island thirst as the trade winds blow in off the bay. Incidently for those who like a full flavour, try their Fire Rock Ale. haddon90 (1039), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Nice malt aroma. Smooth, clean roasted malt taste. Some hops lingering. Kind of sweet as well. Not too bad of a lager. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

Smooth and clean, with a great roasted malt flavor and just enough bittering hops. Earthy and grassy with a lingering bitter finish. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Had this on-tap at the brewery. The beer poured a clear, light yellow with a small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing head that left behind good lacing. The aroma was light overall—moderatley hoppy with notes of grass and straw and a trace of honey. The flavor was lightly sweet with a short, lightly bitter finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was fizzy.
