Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Pretty tasty coffee beer. Not overdone, but enough there that you know it’s there. Smooth and drinkable.

Pours deep black with a frothy, tawny colored head with a notable presence of rich coffee. The flavor is distinctly mocah and java and has smooth finish.

Bottle. Pours black with white head. Amroma of coffee and a hint of chocolate. Flavor on this one was pretty strong and intense. The coffee flavor is nice. Robust here. Nice porter, one that I would like to drink more of.

Bottle at the midway. A bit of a small tan head. Aroma is distinctly cocoa. The cocoa comes through pretty significantly in the flavor as well with the finish being a bit chocolaty. A decent porter with some better body and flavors than your average beer.

Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is light with mostly coffee and roasted malts. Flavor is better than what I thought of the aroma. Coffe, roasted malts, and chocolate dominate the flavor. Molasses and a slight hint of hops is on the finish.

Reviewed 4/4/2009 (Draft at Hans’ Bier Haus): Pours a very dark reddish color body, small tannish head, some lacing and lasting. Strong coffee and chocolate aroma, some roastiness. Strong smoke and coffee taste roasted chocolateness. Watery palate. Smokey roasted aftertaste. As it warms up it tastes worse.

light on complex taste. a dark brown almost black pour with a light off white head. Strong espresso aroma and dark black coffee taste present with an ever so slight hint of sweet caramel.
