Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Bottle brought to poker night by Isaac. This beer was obviously a bit like coffee and chocolate with some caramel notes in there. Nice medium bodied beer.

Pours dark brownish/black with tan head that subsides. Creamy and sweet with hints of chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee, and a touch of dark rye bread. Very malty finish. Didn’t detect much hops. Overall a nice beverage but a bit sweet.

On tap at Luckys. Has a dark brown thick frothy light tan head. The aroma is a roasted malt with coffee and chocolate. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is similar to the aroma with nice dry finish. A good porter from Kona.

On tap at Koko Marina and in bottles. Poured a deep brown/black with a two finger brown head. Aroma of coffee, and lots of it. Roasted malt notes were present as well. Flavor reflected the aroma, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Good beer.

Bottle. Pours black with a thick light tan head. Aroma of lots of coffee and roasted nuts. Flavor of bitter coffee grinds, lots of iced tea. Aroma is better than the flavor because I don’t like the taste of iced tea in beer. It’s an ok porter, but could use improvement in the flavor. 7/4/6/3/13 (3.3/5)

Bottle. Starts of strong with a nice roasted coffee aroma. Flavor takes a step back into generic porter, though still features some coffee, maybe a touch of milky chocolate. Not bad.
