Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Bottle, nice dark brown, almost black, with big frothy tan head. Great nose, with the Kona coffee coming thru. Smooth taste, minimal hops. good finish, a bit on the dry side. Overall a good Porter, especially when it is on sale.

Bottle at the Hilton Waikaloha, poured very dark, aroma burst out like a fresh brewed cup of coffee, dark cream-coffee colored head. Flavor was full and rich, 100% Kona helps the coffee flavors, malts added a nice bit a sweetness too. Thoroughly enjoyed...I hope the airport security enjoyed the 2 bottles I had to leave behind!!!

Black brown pour with an off white head. Nose is roasted and coffee Taste is the same with a decent bitter finish. Very boring and highly quaffable.

Pours a dark brown to black with a small soapy tan head. Aroma is very much like a brewing pot of coffee, the essence of freshly brewed coffee is really noticable in this one, also there’s a hint of chocolate perhaps bitter cocoa powder in the nose. Flavor is much like the aroma and predominantly roasty coffee beans and a bittersweet chocolate taste. A little creamy and smooth going down with a little bit of similarity to that of a frappuccino. This brew has great coffee characteristics and as far as coffee goes it’s my 2nd favorite behind hitachino nest espresso stout. Add ice, cream and sugar and let’s get to work! Nice brew.

12oz bottle. Deep black color with a minimal head. Smooth and creamy Porter, with mild coffee notes. Very delicate and well balanced. Somewhat dry finish, very little hop character. Quite an enjoyable, middle-of-the-road Porter.

Bottle... Poured black with a light brown head. Smoked aroma with some mocha. Unabrasive palate that was easy to drink, smoked coffee flavors with butter malt. Great tasting beer.
