Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Pours nearly black with a ruby hue and a clingy tan head. Obvious aroma of coffee with roasted, vanilla, leather and nutty notes. A bit thin in body with cocoa and coffee flavors. A little chalky with a little DMS. A little lackluster.

12oz from Sam’s, Durham. Dark, thick pour with a substantive body and moderate head. Huge roasted malts and coffee in the nose, exactly my hopes in picking up this beer for the first time. No overpowering bitterness, but just a deep flavor that’s well suited to the abundant malting and gives this beer depth (along with a killer finish). I’ll be getting this again, for sure.

Fairly solid brown pour, off whitish head. Coffee aromas. Coffee flavors, not overpowering. Some roast malt, medium/light bodied. Pretty straight forward, pretty good and drinkable porter. A good take on a coffee style beer usually reserved for the stouts. For a brewer that has some macro style to it’s other brews, this one is just unique enough. Not real complex, but definetely worth a try.

Perfect example of a coffee bomb. Pours dark, has a huge coffee flavor and mouthfeel, and finishes very soft. It is nice ice cold or after sitting for a bit.

Pours a brownish/black – coffee colored, with a small 1/8 inch head. Smells of beautiful roasted coffee dominates the malts. First sip is pure coffee heaven. Fairly light bodied, carbonated well. If you like coffee and coffee infused beers, you will not be disappointed with this fine beer from out 50th State.

Dark brown pour with a thin head for a porter. Smells of coffee, and malt. Taste is similar with faint coffee, and even fainter caramel. Good Effort

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX...Pours a clear black with ruby hue’s. Strong aroma of good coffee & chocolate. Flavor of strong coffee, some burntness & slight bitter as well....Mouthfeel is light bodied and high carbonation. Overall, a great breakfest beer....!!! I like this stuff....I loved the aroma of chocolate....I’m shocked I am rating this as high as I am...VERY good stuf, easy to drink as well.....
