Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

bottled. i agree with most of the other reviews in that it pours nice and dark with a small tan head. Texture is very smooth. Flavor is roasted toffee and espresso. Not over the top at all. Easy drinking porter with a low alcohol conent.

Bottle from Las Vegas.
Pours Pours black with ruby edges and a nice foamy tan head. Smell is cream and coffee all the way. Very espresso like and very noticeable, but not over the top. Taste is smooth, roasty, creamy and coffee with no burnt, charred or acidic notes from the coffee. Could be a slight bit thicker but as is, it is a very nice drinkable porter. Very balanced and one of the nicer coffee beers I’ve had.

On Draft- Kona Brewery, Hawaii. I’m biased with this one since I am such a big coffee lover too. Poured a minimal head, but wonderful aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste was consistent with the aromas, big flavor, cocoa and coffee together was like dessert in a glass. Well done- I need to try the coffee part with the homebrew....

Bottle. Black colour with red hints. Brown head. Aroma is sweet coffee with tiny notes of smoke. Taste is lots of coffee. Very good, an alternative to ice coffee perhaps?

Bottle. Pours mostly black with dark brown head. Aroma is all coffee and chocolate. Flavor is more of the same with some maltiness, coffee, and chocolate. Smooth and creamy. This is one of the better coffee brews I’ve had.

In a 12oz bottle. Ah, a combination of my two favorite liquids. The aroma is quite pleasing, a strong but not overbearing coffee character. And the flavor is similar...the coffee does not drown out the porter grains, but adds just the right touch of richness. One of the best Hawaiian exports since Don Ho.

12 oz bottle from Plaza Liquors. Deep, dark black (looks like brewed coffee with a head). Slight coffee flavor, but good balance with toasted malt. Good flavor and easily quafable.
