Flavor is the same, coffee with a underlying chocolate flavor. The best porter i’ve ever had. Cavie (1509), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2009 Pours a rich chocolate brown with a one inch layer of tan head. Aroma is upfront coffee with some bitter malts following. Some elements of cocoa. Tasty is my first impression. Bitter coffee notes are present in both the flavor as well as the aftertaste. Provides for a nice tingle on the tongue with a faint taste of sweet chocolate. Dry malts are also felt on the finish. Tasty. Let’s see how it warms. Sweet elements of the taste are more pronounced. Nice. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 27, 2009 12oz bottle: Pours with a deep black pour and some muddied brown highlights. Nice, inch-thick, tan head sticks around. Beautifully balanced nose of fresh espresso, sweet fudge and mild perfumey hops. The coffee is a bit more pronounced in the sugar laden body. Rich chocolate, almost hot chocolate like, balance the coffee notes. Finishes very smooth and creamy. Just a touch of bitterness counteracts the sugary malts. Very nice. msante79 (852), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA

Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, caramel, and some chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt and some smooth coffee adn a bit of chocolate. Mouthfeel is a little bit thin but is a ok as this is a smooth drinker with light coffee bitterness. Pretty good for a coffee porter. legion242 (1588), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Wonderful nose of fresh brewed coffee and then it is down hill from there. Thin on the tongue and ashy in flavour. slimchill (783), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Aroma is sweet chocolate and toffee. Dark amber and near black with good lacing from a thin hazy brown head. Flavor is nice, slightly watery coffee and chocolate with caramel. A nice round thickness through most of the sip but finishes a bit thin and dry. Definitely solid but not totally balanced. Fratto (763), Arlington, Texas, USA
