Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Black pour with a cream, tan head. Aroma is light bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts, slightly sour, coffee, with some caramel malt as well. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is nicely rounded. It starts with some light coffee, sour, chocolate, and roasted malts. A very nice beer. The coffee isn’t as intense as I was expecting which makes for a more enjoyable porter.

Bottle brought to poker night by Isaac. This beer was obviously a bit like coffee and chocolate with some caramel notes in there. Nice medium bodied beer.

Pours dark brownish/black with tan head that subsides. Creamy and sweet with hints of chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee, and a touch of dark rye bread. Very malty finish. Didn’t detect much hops. Overall a nice beverage but a bit sweet.

On tap at Luckys. Has a dark brown thick frothy light tan head. The aroma is a roasted malt with coffee and chocolate. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is similar to the aroma with nice dry finish. A good porter from Kona.
