| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2008 This is beer? On tap at the brewery in Kona. This is carbonated passion fruit juice. I like passion fruit a lot so this is a good thing. But I really wouldn’t call this a beer. Good nonetheless. kiefdog (1633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2008 12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors. Pours a semi-clear, lemon-yellow with a one finger white head that diminishes quite rapidly with minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is strongly of fresh, ripe fruit with more subtle notes of bread, yeast, banana, and faint spice. Taste is also strongly of ripe tropical fruit with a somewhat watery mouthfeel. Notes of sour ripe fruit come through as the beer warms. Finish is quick and watery. A drinkable beer that would be good for the beach. darn1207 (588), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 16, 2008 2008 Bottle - Decent colour, aroma could go one of two ways, either a faint tropical fruit, or a scrotum that hasn’t been washed recently, flavour follows pretty closely, slight grain, no bitterness to speak of, light malts, not a good wheat or fruit beer, yet another "meh" from the folks at Kona... rmussman (905), California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 16, 2008 A pretty nice wheat beer that is nicely touched with passion fruit. A very drinkable beer with a nice nose. Well worth a try. douglas88 (1659), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear light orange with a small white head. The aroma is very fruity and wheat filled, that passion fruit gives it a very nice aspect. The taste is very much like a good hefe, but with a huge fruit presence that I really enjoyed. The passion fruit tastes quite natural and is not overly strong. I for one quite enjoyed this one on a very hot day. Nice. ChainGangGuy (2597), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Appearance: Clear, pale yellow body with a very thin ring of white bubbles.
Smell: Well, you got your passion fruit, but that’s about it.
Taste: Light wheat malt and sweetness, then it’s pretty much all passion fruit that’s only interrupted by a faint, floral hop character and bitterness. Maybe one has to be throwing it back in Hawaii to truly enjoy this one.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: I don’t know about the rest of you, but I could most definitely use a heft to the underlying wheat beer. As it stands, it’s a bit one-dimensional and one-bottle-that’s-it-al. I’m happy unclemattie really like it, though!
