Flavor is weak, except for a weak passion fruit. This is no doubt a fun beer, but it is altogether weak, and the flavors not well blended.13. Magic Hat #9 (sampled multiple times. Flavor is indescript, but not in a good way. Muddy, maybe apricot, light malts, nothing too complex. robinvboyer (1429), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

aroma of sour apple cider, and cheap white wine.
Flavour is slightly sour, and odd. I dont taste passionfruit, its a sour wheat flavour, wow, this is odd. Its a quenching summer beer, but an odd one. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is reminiscent of grapefruit. Taste has a nice wheat base thats accented by a bitter fruit presence. Not bad. Dubbercody (214), Vancouver, Washington, USA

So I had to mow my friends lawn, the grass being about 1.5 ft tall. Even though the moving started at 8am, it was already 75 degrees quickly working it’s way up into the 90’s.
I’m done, still with grass on my legs terribly in need of some liquid refreshment. Hmmm...stuck the hand into the beer fridge, grabbed a porter...no. Grabbed a wee heavy....no. Grabbed a Wailua wheat, ding ding ding...it’s hot, I’m sweaty and the beer is cold and golden.
Pours a golden with a weak head, Smells a lot like a white sangria I had once, fruity, citrus and a bit tart.
Tastes, pretty good, not great, but not bad. It hit the spot for chilling me down a bit. Easily sliding down my throat and leaves a sweet aftertaste. Interesting beer, it’s worth a try for the fruity alone. Ibrew2or3 (2761), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 11, 2008 Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours gold to straw with weak white head. It has a big fruity aroma with lots of juiciness. So this is what passion fruit smells like. Doesn’t smell much different than a fruit drink. The taste is the same with tropical fruit sweetness and some tart fruitiness. I get almost no base beer in there. This was supposed to be a wheat beer or something? | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 7, 2008 Draft at the brewpub in Honolulu. Light yellow in color with a thin white head of medium sized bubbles. The nose showed off passion fruit, citrus and wheat. The aromas were quite nice, especially with the passion fruit twist but I wish they were more powerful. The palate was also a bit weak but really nice on a warm Hawaian day. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2008 Ummm. If you know what a passion fruit tastes like, and like it, you have a shot at enjoying this beer. I had to smell it 5 or 6 times before I realized it was SUPPOSED to smell like that. 12 oz. bottle: pours a deep golden color, sort of a sweet tart assault on your nose. Starts of citrusy and sweet, then fades to a bittersweet dry finish characteristic of passion fruit. alraicercsu (166), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2008 Bottle. Golden in color with a thin white head. Intial scent seemed off and then sweetened up with lots of passion fruit and wheat. Tastes intially like pinapple juice then like a wheat beer.
