Nose is fruity and refreshing--passionfruit, apricot, peach. Simple and easy flavor profile and mouthfeel. Strong with passionfruit and apricot, and peach fruit flavors. Not a ton going on here, but it was refreshing and not overly cloying and....my first brew rated from the magical islands of hawaii. BillKismet (1959), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Cloudy yellow bronze with creamy hopped head. Aroma bursts with passionfruit and citrus zest and a touch of uric acid. The flavor is again dominated by passionfruit and zesty citric fruitiness, perhaps like no other brew I have tasted. Tastes like a super simcoe brew as cattiness develops and contributes unpleasant characteristics. junon (226), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

I honestly think Kona’s Wailua Wheat meets my standards better. The aroma is not nearly has pungent as the Cherry Wheat. It is subtle but very inviting. The taste is mild but still distinctive. Its a pretty active beer with lots of bubbles. However this is definitely NOT an everyday beer. fakepurseninja (797), Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Shocked to find this rated so poorly. This is a true american wheat ale thru-and-thru with a strong passionfruit character that really works well. Upfront the drink is all about a sweet-and-tart passionfruit essence with some vanilla undertones that slowly segues into a strong wheat malt backbone that is almost as good as they come for that grain. A little tartness on the finish. Really a unique drink; very refreshing and enjoyable. Highly recommended. malrubius (1005), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Apr 7, 2008 12 ounce bottle in Hoegaarden tumbler. Pale hazy urine color with quickly dissipating white head. Aroma like a rug that a dog has been pissing on its whole life. Flavor slightly worse than the aroma. Sweet and bitter funky thin flavor that sticks to the back of my throat. Gross. morrdt (609), Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Aroma is distinct fruit nose with a touch of grain. You can immediately taste the passion fruit. A bit weird, but a nice beer. mar (1973), Dallas, Texas, USA
