| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Mar 25, 2008 this beer pours a golden yellow with a medium white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving a little lacing down the sides. The initial aromas are definitely passionfruit! It was a little odd. Almost smelled bad. The flavors are exactly the same as the smell, wheat and passionfruit. Not quite sure why, but this beer does not work. The flavors do not go well together at all... I was really expecting something exciting but this one missed the boat... Maybe there was too much pssionfruit? not sure but I won’t get this one again. Cheers! robforbes (1105), Bremerton, Washington, USA

smell is lightly skunky, sweet, fruit, citrus, some wheat.
taste is definitely passion fruit, a touch of citrus, a little wheat in the back, and yes passion fruit. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Purchased 12 oz bottle in ABC store in Honolulu Harbor (about 100 steps from the Aloha tower). Golden-green hazy body with a small white head. Smells sweet, fresh sugar, white wine, fresh fruit. Not much carbonation. Tate is fruity sweet, soft and tangy with mango, peach/passion fruit sweetness on top of wheat. The fruit component doesn’t seem artificial or contrived. Good drinking beer with a soft palate. Underneath cap is a Hawaiian lesson = "lolo" = crazy. CubsClapp (13), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 31, 2008 If you like wine coolers(which I don’t), then you’ll love this beer. It’s got some taste to it, but maybe a little too much. The first sip you have will leave you with an interesting feeling. Too much passion fruit taste. It doesn’t feel like a beer. jb (1059), Rochester, New York, USA

Fairly light, wheaty and fruity nose, tropical flowers and light herby notes. Sweet and tart summer fruits, apricot, clover honey, floral hops, wheat and of course passionfruit. Light to medium body, gently prickly carbonation. Summer refresher. CharlesDarwin (1860), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2007 12 Oz Bottle. My first Hawaiian beer and my last of 2007. Awkward aroma of salted, stale passionfruit paste, light miso, and stewed barley. A lightly intriguing interplay between the dusty floor malt and the sprightly, sour passionfruit. Pours a strikingly clear gold, no head. Flavor moves between stale bread, guava candy, and moderately bitter herbal seeds. Nondescript. Fruit doesn’t significantly impact the mediocre jist of the lightly sour, dusty, bland, a weakly hopped wort. Hops retain light gumminess. Finishes surprisingly clean. For a wheat beer with fruit added, it’s a pretty good pale lager. In the end, it’s kind of like me on this New Year’s Eve, bitter and bored. Finishes on light cream donut. Thanks for the hookup, Sean! drseamus (103), Troy, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 24, 2007 I got this beer on tap at the brewery while I was on vacation there. This is a wheat beer with passion fruit (lilikoi) added at the end of the mash. The passion fruit is apparent in both the aroma and the taste. It pours a straw colored beer with a white head. As mentioned before, the aroma is dominated by the passion fruit. The taste also has good passion fruit flavor, but not as strongly as the aroma. There are also wheat flavors and a good tartness to balance the fruit. It drinks very smoothly and has a light to medium body. This would be an excellent warm weather session beer for anyone who likes slightly fruity beers.
