Draught@Kaisla, Helsinki. Golden color, low white head. A fairly straight-forward pilsener that doesn’t do anything wrong but isn’t great either.

Blond color. Poor head. It’s a lean and clean Pilsner, quite dry and bitter, balanced, but naturally missing any excitement. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, maybe with pizza or a sandwich…

Bière à 4,9% allemande. Cannette 500 ml.

Can, LCBO, Beer #2 Jeff’s pils fest, Champions League ’08 final viewing one man party. Medium yellow, small quickly diminishing bubbly white head, thin, only one or two streaming bubbles. Mild grassy aroma that features a surprisingly fruity characteristic, along with some hay notes. Taste - sharper hops than the can of Wernesgruner that I had previous to this, but they do seem to work as well - the sort of malty body (for the pils style) and the hops do not work. And I know of no other way to describe it, but the finish in the beer tastes like when you bite your bite accidentally - that mix of blood and saliva. Gross eh? Anyway, this is not to say I didn’t enjoy it - the sharper hops make this rather refreshing and again, I am finding my second German pils of the day fuller in body than a Czech pils - so overall, ok, but I would have to say I would not buy this one again (I would buy the Wernesgruner again).

Pours a pale gold color, with hardly any head. Aroma is of malty grass, tastes mostly like the grass part, with a little bit of a bitter aftertaste. There are a lot better pilsners out there.

Pale Yellow..quickly diminishing head. Mild aroma of hay hops, malt, tiny banana esters. Descent palate. Brewed with soft water I think. No real complaints, no real praise..I think that would please a german.
