Can at Frankfurt Airport. Skunky nose aroma. Eggy, grassy. Tasted like just another pilsener to me. Should probably restaste on tap.

Slight bread aroma, color typical of the style. Lively carbonation, light mouthfeel. Some bitterness, probably middle of the road for the style. More bitter aftertaste.

Aroma not particularly strong. Very skunky, bitter. There is some malt flavour. Tastes cold, metallic. Leaves an unpleasant aftertaste, sour and a bit chemically. I was hoping this one to be better than the mainstream Beck’s, Warsteiner’s, etc, but in my opinion it is about in the same category, perhaps only a tiny bit better. It has the same metallic taste and much of the same unpleasant chemically aftertaste.

Everything about this beer screams to me LIGHT. Light in colour, light in body and light in flavour. But it’s not that bad actually, just not very distinctive. It has an unusually nice after taste though. Gotta love stale noble hops!

had it at a bar in kreuzberg, very nice for the typical cheap pilsener that it is, the palate was quite rich even though we were pounding it

NOt too interesting, very bitter. It was on a 5 litres barrel. And lasted for days. But it had some German touch.

Bottled: Pours a pale clear gold with a slightly coarser head than I’d like. Typical grassy noble hop aroma with perhaps the odd malty note. Quite active carbonation. Pretty uncomplicated but nice all round, bitter clean finish. At $40 a case this isn’t a bad imported pilsener.

Bière très légère, sans arrière-goût. Ce n’est pas une bière que je boirais pour son goût, mais pour en prendre une pour bouère.
