Apr 18, 2006 This stuff is everwhere in dusseldorf. Aroma is a mix of pilsner malts and grassy hops. Taste is similar, nothing special, easy drinking.

Apr 17, 2006 On tap. Bright, golden color, with the nice floral hoppy aroma. This one went down real quick from its 25 oz. mug. Would definitely order this one again.

Apr 7, 2006 Another really enjoyable German pils, this had all the characteristics I like. A slightly sweet, malty, hoppy grassyness that was a touch spicy on the palate. A crisp clean finish and quite refreshing. Very enjoyable!

Mar 20, 2006 Bottled. Heavily carbonated yellow. White head laces well. Aroma of bread and sweet grassy hops. Bitterness mixes with sweet floral taste, the excellent bitterness lasts after the finish. Bread is weaker in the taste than in the aroma. Dry end. An interesting combination, somewhere between the two regional German pils styles with a dash of Helles (the bready malts) thrown in for measure. To think, I’d avoided this for its labelling - I really like this.

Mar 19, 2006 Beer pours a clear, light golden-tellow color with a small, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma is lightly malty with a note of toasted grain, lightly hoppy with a note of chamomile, miscellaneous note of macro-like DMS. The flavor is moderately bitter and dry, lightly sweet with an average-length, lightly sweet, lightly bitter, husky finish. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is average.

Body is clear medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a note of DMS.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Not as clean in the nose as, say, Bitburger, but well-balanced and otherwise acceptable. Exceedingly average.

Mar 11, 2006 Bottle. Golden color to it with a nice small head. This had a nice hoppy aroma to it, with a nice hoppy finish.

Feb 24, 2006 A very sessionable Pils, light and easy to drink... which is also its shortcoming. A good German Pilsener should have more energy - a bigger hop bite, especially in the finish. This has a pleasant, bready malt aroma with a gentle earthy hop bitterness. Both seem somewhat muted in the tasting. Fortunately, the bitterness asserts itself (although not strongly enough) in the finish.
