Jun 3, 2004 Canned - 500ml. Nice golden body with a thin but dense and lasting foamy head. Malty and bready aroma with some light fruity (citrus) notes. Balanced hoppy taste with a dry and bitter final. Quite decent german pilsner.

May 7, 2004 Light golden colour with a slight greenish hue and a small white head. Mild bready & grassy aroma. Medium body. Well balanced but fairly non-descript flavour with some metallic notes in the finish.

Lager color, very small white head. Slightly skunked hoppy aroma. Malty, hoppy, with sweet tones. Medium-bodied, good pilsener with bitter finish. (5/2/7/3/10 2.7)

Golden color, quickly vanishing white head. Mild plastic hop aroma. Fruity, sweet malts and weak bitterness in aftertaste. Quite boring pilsener, a bit like Budvar. (3/2/4/2/8 1.9)

Apr 22, 2004 Pours a nice pale golden colour with some lingering white head. Floral aroma of Saaz hops with a trace of maltiness. Slightly sweet tasting on the front, but not unpleasantly so. Floral taste with a crisp finish and a fairly long lasting bitterness. A lot better than I expected out of a cheap can.

Apr 1, 2004 Somewhat pale gold. Big foamy head. 500ml can. Hoppy floral nose, leafy and apple or pear. Decent hop bitters. Malts are noticeable but I detect some corn syrup. I'll let it go this time. Ricey, corny American Stanard adjuct-ish with apple juicey and late dry hop dry finish. A decent pilsener. And not bad from a company as "Iffy" as Holsten.

Mar 2, 2004 Draft - There is nothing better in my view, but I am partial to German pilsners. My favorite during my last trip to Germany. Cannot get here in SW PA, but if your ever in S FLA, Old Heidelberg has it on draft in Ft. Lauderdale
