Can. Pale straw yellow with huge white head. Aroma malty and some flowery notes. Taste quite hoppy and a hopp bitter finish. An average pilsner.

11.2 oz bottle Darkish yellow with a quick disappearing white head. Aroma is slight skunk with some malty grains. The flavor is almost all malt and grain with a dry ending that almost balances it out.

Tasted at wine world beer tasting....wished I had not. This was close to water in taste. I like a good pils and this is not it.

Not too bad. $1.25 at my local shop. Great pils smell you’d expect, but left my palate a bit dry and pasty. For a cheap brew, I’d do it again.

As good as any made-in-Czech republic pilsner. Colour was a nice medium gold and came with a medium sized white head which left some nice lacing. Aroma was crisp and clean, giving off a bit of hop. Taste was again crisp and clean while at the same time smooth and refreshing.

Pours pale gold with a 3 finger creamy white head that has decent retention, fades to a skim and holds pretty well while leaving some decent lacing. Aroma is grass, fresh grain, toasted grain, fresh white bread, lager yeast, corn flakes and hay. Flavor is toasted grain, crusty white bread, a little grass, dried hay and some light medicinal notes. Finish is lightly bitter, planty hops, some granola and sweet corn, with that nagging medicinal note clinging on. Palate is light bodied with a fizzy, slick entry and dry, still somewhat slick finish. Not bad, the medicinal notes are a little off-putting though, palate is a little awkward.

I can remember drinking Koenig Pils as a kid in Germany. There was a chain of pubs around the country called "Koenig City" which featured this beer. And you know, it was pretty tasty. But nowadays, it tastes like a watered-down Pils with low bitterness, no hop aroma and very little body. Too bad really, but this is a general trend in Germany and there is no hope in sight. Who would have thought that you have to go to Pennsylvania to get a top-notch Pils?
