| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2009 A tough doughy; blonde coloured tappist beer. Probably one of the weakest trappist beers. Can detect hay and banana and cineman. The mouth feel is plesant but I expected better. Davros (248), Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Pours dark amber, darker than most tripels, with a small head.
Aroma shows doughy yeast and banana, much like the Blond. Some spicy notes, cinnamon or similar, as well as some slightly hot alcohol.
Easy-going flavours with a fair bit of sweet malt showing some caramel. Unfortunately the alcohol still shows through.
Mouthfeel is quite rich, unorthodox for a tripel. budweiserblows (34), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Up front: I’m biased towards tripels. Hands down my favorite style of ale. This beer displayed an exceptionally smooth taste with hints of fruit. The flavor was not overpowering and in general, this beer came off as a solid choice for those of you who enjoy the taste of ALE rather than the accents involved in any given ale. toby540 (24), Belgium
Mjollnir (22), Canberra, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2009 High carbonation, pours a nice, very slightly hazy gold. Yeasty aromas on the more "ripe" side early on. Mild bitterness and lingering sourness, and the alcohol content is disguised reasonably well. The character evolves nicely as it warms, and the last mouthful leaves you debating whether you should open another. SpencerDB (108), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2009 750mL. Poured dark gold/slightly amber with a nice head that left decent lacing the whole way. Fruity, spicy, sweet, and delicious. Aroma of many different fruits and an alcohol backing. Taste was the same but crisp, carbonated, and lovely. Very refreshing. Definitely one of those beers I would drink every day Vaiz (145), Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Pours a beautiful golden color with an enormous, creamy head with such a retention that I’m almost getting impatient to drink this, as there remains this huge blob of foam on top. Leaves some lacing behind as well. Aroma is of hay, earth, fruits and has a slightly sharp edge reminding me of superglue. Taste is slightly sweet, mildly bitter but again has a sharp edge that somehow keeps stinging my nostrils and the roof of my mouth. A bit too much alcohol present. Carbonation is good and this stuff has a very smooth feel to it that makes it easy to gulp down. The best part is actually the finish. Very long, starting a bit sweet but then moving towards bitter. I expected more of this, but it’s still not a bad beer.
