Cloudy apricot with a noisy cap of white that settles in snowy drifts. Lovely tart fruit aroma--one sniff lemon, then papaya, then muscat grapes. A generous aroma. Spritzy clean fruit flavor, golden raisins. Underlying malt sweetness, but this is mostly about esters. A lingering bit of tannin finish. Rather nice. Lubiere (4551), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

A nice rosewater aroma, pears and bubblegum. In mouthm a light cloven mouth, with bubblegum, fruits, and light hopping. A classy light wit for the summer. Bieropholie private imports. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 15, 2007 Light gold in colour with average carbonation and a slight bit of haze. Aromas of wheat malt, bubblegum, banana, and lemon. In the mouth, the wheat is still the major player, but some of the coriander and peppery spices start to show themselves. Some herbal and lemon character is also present. Perhaps a bit too sweet to start, but dries out a fair bit by the finish. Average stuff... a bit too much like a lightly spieced hefeweizen as opposed to a wit. Thanks to lubiere for the sample! Theis (3791), Denmark

Citrussy fruit leaning towards spiced Blond/Tripel territory with a warming note of booze. Sourish, spritzy and slightly mildewy. So-so. (up-rate) Mellow peppery spritz, clove, lemon, biscuit, slight banana. Persistent foaming head. Like it. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Bottle (330ml). Via trade with Boutip. As "Witte Trappist (La Trappe)"Slightly cloudy pale gold with a large lasting bright white fluffy lasting head. Literally soft aroma of banana, green apple, hint of lemon zest and sweet spice and yeast. Taste follows the nose, only maltier, honey and lemon in the finish. Light bodied but nice and lively, a little dry, with a crisp, sweet, lightly fruity/yeasty finish. Very pleasant, somewhat forgettable - reminds me of Blanche de Chambly, with more complexity yet less staying power. cab (863), Denmark
