Bouteille de 330 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur de céréales et d’agrumes. Apparence: La couleur ets blonde pâle avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de citron et de céréales. Courte durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. (Rating #884)

Persistent cream. Almost imperceptible aroma of lemon and clove. In the mouth, the flavor if loses, resulting in absence of aftertaste. I waited more. .....................................PORTUGUÊS: Trata-se de uma boa representante do estilo “blanche”, de trigo, mas nada demais… Creme persistente. Aroma quase imperceptível de limão e cravo. Na língua, o sabor se perde, resultando em ausência de retrogosto. E fica nisso, eu esperava mais. Em se tratando de La Trappe, essa e a cerveja que encontra o extremo oposto das ótimas Blond e (principalmente) Quadrupel, estas sim cervejas com personalidade.

No rótulo diz que é a única trappista blanche do mundo. Álcool quase imperceptível. Frutada, com notas de limão, cravo e levemente de banana. Embora discreto, o aroma é suave e agradável. Há algo metálico nele... Excelente creme (persistente). Carbonatação leve/moderada, agradável. Típica blanche refrescante, com sua coloração clara e turva. Retrogosto suave e agradável. Se parece muito com outras blanches, com a vantagem de ser bem balanceada.

Hazu golden with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus and malt. Flavour of yeast and wheat, some citrus, slight spiciness, some sweetness, bit waterish. Dry wheaty finish. Tasty bubbly brew.

Comments: Rather weak wheat ale without any particular focus.

My Bottom Line:
This corporate witbier sports formal coriander milkiness alongside polite straw and subservient citrusy fruitiness. A rather bland Trappist product aiming for the masses.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam remains around the misty pale golden.
-The finish is rather forgettable, another reason this feels like a macro.
-The fizzy carbonation is a little too harsh for my tastes in witbier, but the overall lack of substance might be the culprit here.
-The style’s typical yeast signature is adequately expressed.

The pour reveals a cloudy pale gold color with a medium white head. Strong aroma of doughy yeast with some lemon. The flavor isn’t too good, the lemon is weak and the yeast takes all the place. The palate is classic for a witbier, thick, soft and creamy. I’m not a huge fan of witbiers but I like to have a good one when I have the chance but this isn’t good at all.

Partly cloudy yellow body with a large white head. Aroma of cereals and wet stuff. Not very pleasant. Taste is rather characterless. Chewy cereals, some white flour flavour, somewhat yeasty, rather lemony. Short finish. Nothing wrong, just a boring yeasty lemonade. Don’t buy it, it’s a Trappe but it’s a trap.
