Its nothing great but always palateble bringing crisp fresh hops and a smooth finish. Its crafted very consistently. patricks110 (285), Alberta, Canada

Tours are 2 bucks canadian. A pretty plain amber ale. Lacking a unique personalioty, this beers taste comes from mostly grainy malts and hints of light fruits. Appearance is average, and no aftertaste. Overall, a pretty good beer. Remarkably close to Columbia brewerys Kokanee gold. CapFlu (3492), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Nose of straw. Flavour is mildly corn with a grainy maltedness. Finishes somewhat tonic. Average. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Sharp hops over very fruity and lightly waxy aroma. Brilliantly clear golden body is topped by a low fine bubbled white head that recedes to a lasting cover and laces well. Berry like fruity esters complement grainy malt sweetness. Light touch of creamed corn. Light body with pleasant, soft bubbled effervescence. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Can (BCLS on Cambie at 39th, Apr-07). Parksy (40), Alberta, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | May 24, 2007 Not my favorite. Had a bit of a skunky aftertaste for me. Seemed on par with some of the more readily available pilsners... wouldnt go out of my way to get it. DuffMan (2779), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2007 Clear straw yellow with a big soapy head that demonstrates excellent retention and lacing. Fresh grassy aroma. Clean grainy palate with definite reedy, woody hop character and a dry bitter finish. I was pleasantly surprised with this beer. I am a little puzzled as to where the designation of amber ale comes from, as this is much more pilsenerish than anything. Im not sure if it is because I got a fresh batch, but I respectfully disagree with the majority of raters on this one-- definitely a step above most macros. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2006 Bottle from the Sparwood liquor store....poured a light golden ale in the glass...1 finger white rocky cap from a hard pour...weak head retention..light lace on glass. Aroma of sweet malt dextrins but there is a nice piney hop aroma as well. Modest body, light liquid mouth feel. Bready malt up front then the ample Willamette hops balance it..quick sharp finish with a slight fruity tone and a light, lingering metallic after taste...this is weird one to classify is it a cream ale? a golden ale? it has characteristics of both but it is very drinkable...I would classify it as a decent golden session ale from a Pacific NW brewer most think of as a Labatt clone.
