MartinT (4307), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 3, 2007 My Bottom Line:
This approachable Stout adds a fruity yeast profile to its chocolatey roastiness. Soft berries indeed bloom within the malty sweetness, forming a decent interpretation of the style.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the opaque darkness.
-The aroma is quite timid, which points towards a Stout for neophytes.
-Roasted malt bitterness dryness is present, to the joy of all tastebuds.
-The delicate effervescence and lean maltiness create an affable mouthfeel.
-Malty sweetness comes close to anise at times, and the yeast fruitiness is close to blackberries and blueberries.

GonZoBeeR (1990), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Sep 9, 2005 Aroma:rosted malt,light chocolate,small acidity...
apearance:dark ,light beige head...
Flavor:Light rosted malt, light acidty.... Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 20, 2005 A black beer with a collapsing brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted but quite light. The flavor is sweet and nicely roasted, but also with some sour hints. Rastacouere (5258), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Almost black hue is topped by a beige head. Cocoa powder and nicely torrefied malts conclude the aroma. Decent hoppiness finds its way through the lightly smoky malt with an honest cerealic roasted base. An exagerated acid bite ruins the otherwise successful finish. Medium bodied, lasting carbonation. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 15, 2005 Near black colour. Fairly malty aroma with slight tar and roast. Reasonably full body for style. Hints of tar and sweet malt. Very little roast or hop bitterness in the flavour profile. More chocolatey and dessert-like.
