Red, small tight head. Sweet ’red’ caramel aroma. Sweet sticky body. Roasted caramalt. Very simple malty beer, a bit too sweet. Misnamed. brunnsbe (50), Helsinki, Finland Apr 16, 2008 Why in the world has this beer been named Hops, a better name would be Malts. The color is nice red/amber. Almost no flavor, quite malty in the taste. I wouldn’t call this a Brown Ale, more of a Bitter or a Pale Ale. Miksu (1301), Jyväskylä, Finland Mar 23, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Amber color with small head. Malty, caramelly and toffeish aroma. Malty and caramelly flavor with slightly toasty, toffeish and raisiny notes. Chewy mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Unfortunately was served ice gold. mabjork (576), Vasa, Finland May 9, 2007 Draught@skolan. Semi dark in colour with a minor white head. The aroma is malty and hoppy, sweet. The flavour is sweetly hoppy with a semi dry aftertaste. Not one of their best brews.
