Jul 30, 2007 Beautiful slightly hazy golden body, creamy white head, laces; Super, super balanced super elegant nose, it has perfect noble hop aromas, pleasant soft malt and spicy yeast aromas in a near perfect combination; Very fresh body with a fresh big carbonation, soft texture, great and elegant combination of bitter, sweet and yeasty dry part, super; Super complex balanced long finish, again a perfect combination of yeast, malt and hop aromas . What an amazing and fantastic beer.

Jan 31, 2008 Draught at Koutland, Pilsen. Hazy golden coloured. This has all of the nice aromas and flavours as the filtered version, but with a fruity and slightly yeasty touch. The lack of filtration also makes it slightly softer. A fantastic beer, but the cleaner filtered version is even better.

Jul 17, 2007 on tap at koutland. for quite a while i couldn’t get too excited about this beer which was quite odd considering how obsessed i’ve become with kvasnicovy beers and with kout beers. anyways, i think it must have improved appreciably. the first few kegs of this had a decent saaz nose but quite an overwhelming sourdough character which dulled the juicy bitterness of the filtered 12ká. anzways, a balance seems to have been found and this is ripe and pungent with traces of pineapple, lemon zest and a big saaz kick that, as with the other kout beers, reminds me just how little saaz character a lot of czech beers have these days.

Jul 3, 2008 Draught at Koutland (3 consecutive nights!) Hazy golden, small head. Buttery nose with lots of grass. Freshly hoppy with hay and orange. Light-medium bodied with a crisp, vital malt profile, Long bitter finish. A superb drinking beer!

Apr 4, 2008 En fűt. Pinte dégustée chez Koutland (Plzen, Rép. Tchčque). Arôme: Odeur d’agrume et de cérérale. Apparence: La couleur est blonde légčrement orangée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un large col mousseux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goűt de céréale et d’houblon avec une pointe fruitée. Durée moyenne de l’arričre goűt. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légčrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence de céréale en arričre goűt. (Rating #1550)
