The head is three-fingers and finely bubbled tan. Aroma is really toffee. Sort of medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is roasted caramel/toffee. Rarely has a beer so suggested toffee to me. Might be some hop hiding in here, but it’s on the minor side. There is some bitter on the tongue sides, and I think it’s building with time. Decent beer. marcus (1885), Sacramento, California, USA

Deep amber, healthy head. Sweet bready worty grainy aroma. Very sweet malty body. Over-the-top caramel, but still nowhere near as sticky as US ambers, say. The second one I had was fruitier as well, and had some marmitey yeastiness, in particular in the finish. If they could rein in the sweetness, it would be a damn tasty brew.
