EHopper (171), Minnesota, USA May 17, 2008 Liked this beer more than I know I should. Maybe it was the company. It had a light, fruity, refreshing aroma. It tasted kind of sweet, but smooth, with a bubble gum flavor. Nice finish, nothing unpleasant like these types of beers usually have. Call me crazy, but at $.99 a pint, well worth having in the fridge. nearbeer (1386), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 26, 2007 1/2 L. Medium-sized head that lasts on this honey-gold colored brew, with some nice sticky lace. Aroma of dry cedar, corn, grass, and honey. Initial flavor is all lemon-honey; some bittering hops finally catch up in the aftertaste. As I continue, the herby hops become more evident and offer a bit of balance. Some slight alcohol taste shows up as a warming influence, adding some more balance against the malt. Pretty decent malt liquor after you give it a chance, and beats the hell out of North American industrial lager. Light-medium bodied. SoLan (1188), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 3, 2007 Clear gold. 1.5cm of frothy, bright white head. Aroma of corny, grainy, lightly sweet malt. Flavor adds some herbal and medicinal notes, totally unexpected. Kind of grows on you. Clean finish. Medium to medium/full body, balanced carbonation, lightly oily. Better than expected, decent. Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle from Bottleworks in Seattle, WA--Light amber, dark pale lager. Idea of Euro Strong Lager: corn and sweet malten whiffs. Well-retained frothy leggish head. Obvious saccharine hops presence, but overall dominated by the sticky, sweet, cloying malts. Eh! If you’re into getting rocked, here you go, comrad. kamish (74), Lake Stevens, Washington, USA Jul 7, 2006 i figured russian beer would moslty be stout type stuff. you know, the stuff that resembles used motor oil. but this wasn’t bad. i liked it. gave it a 3 out of 5 at the seattle beer fest.
