Commercial Description:
Nestled in the hills on the west side of Lake Mohawk is the upper lake section of the reservation, known as the Alpine, for its beautiful stand of evergreens. When the sun sets over the western hills, and atmospheric conditions are just right, the east side of the lake is treated to a breathtaking, almost surreal amber aura. Old timers have taken to calling this spectacle the "Alpine Glow." You can enjoy this natural display of color right from the comfort of Krogh's interior while drinking our red ale. Alpine Glow Red Ale has a creamy, soft texture characterized by a very pleasant malt-hop interaction, a generous foam bounces atop. Tantalizingly complex, it finishes with a malty aroma and an easy hop flavor, the best of both worlds

Amber pour with tight white head and lace. Caramel and stale beer sourness. Caramel malt very light bitter. Good carbonation and mouthfeel on an other wise very average beer.

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foam with a frothy top tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated golden brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was bready and dough. crisp and clean . The flavor contained notes of malt hops and Irish red malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

sampler. amber with a small off white head. Carbonation wasn’t there on this beer. Aroma was barely discernable, as was mostly of light malty sweetness. Taste was light sweet malt, thin bodied, with a touch of roast and maybe chocolate. Light bitter finish.

Light reddish brown with a very weak off white head this beer has an unfinished malty scent. Medium bodied, the mouthfeel was soft and a bit gritty on the finish. Notes of vegetable and dust permeate the flavor. Not good.

Some very toasty Vienna-ish characteristics in the finish. But the nose is weak and the only taste comes through at the end. Watery palate. Few hops. Not offensive but certainly not good.
