Sebastien (5), Virginia, USA does not count Nov 3, 2003 PREMIUM! a magnificent bottle with a great beer, easy to drink, pleasant and smooth. rpbowman (1), England does not count May 27, 2004 It comes in a very good bootle (in terms of appearance and size). Very good to drink, yet very hard to find in any shop I go in. TheDog (290), Aarhus, Denmark Mar 8, 2006 Updated: May 1, 2007Nice and smooth with a clear amber colour. Smooth taste of malt, hops and caramel. Hops from selected farms in Alsace. Trendy frozen blue bottle, like it or not, but it´s cool at the bar. No one like this beer. Tasted this beer after Nørrebro New York Lager, and the Cru being much better. dj (398), Gloucestershire, England Sep 14, 2006 Bottle, 500ml. An amber colour with an average sized head. Aromas of sweet malts, honey and spice. Taste is alcoholic with more sweet malts, honey, caramel, citrus and light hoppiness. A sweet, slightly bitter finish with citrus. Light to moderate carbonation. This is pretty good. nigos (613), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Jun 7, 2003 Updated: Jun 10, 2003Malt and orange nose with a slight grassy tone. Amber hue with a decent head. This beer is brewed with Alsace hops and is a vast improvement on the standard 1664 which is brewed under license in the UK unlike this which is actually brewed in Strasbourg. More like a Biere de garde than the standard lager swil. The taste is initally malty with sweet toffee, apple and cream soda tones, the finish is slightly bitter hoppy and dry. Massively better than I thought it would be although its not a great beer, but it is good. Currently available from Thresher Group shops and Booker. Its actually quite complex because its brewed slowly like it should be.
