BigBeerHead (42), Reading, Bedfordshire, England Feb 25, 2009 A couple of years ago this actually used to be one of the better lagers. Sadly it has fallen away badly. It is now one of the worst, if not the worst. I’ve lost count of the amount of cans thrown over the ground lately. A good sign that this is now a chav lager, nothing french about it apart from the name. This is woeful and full of chemicals and leads to a hangover. Papillon (172), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada Feb 21, 2009 500 mL can. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head that seems to want to stick to the sides and covers the surface with a scanty film, leaving lace on the sides as it is sipped. The aroma is wheat with a floral-fruity quality about it and a light hint of honey and a little bit of a skunky note but not too pronounced. The taste is light malt with an accent of honey with a very light aftertaste of honey, light-bodied but not watery. The hops offer a whisper at best. Overall pretty clean finish. A nice beer to visit but I won’t stay with this one. ghostmonkey (182), budd lake, New Jersey, USA Feb 21, 2009 bottle . pours light golder . . aroma is wheat and alcohol . . taste is slight hops wheat and alcohol, not much flavor . . Bier brauen (210), Bremerton, Washington, USA Feb 15, 2009 Aroma of hay. Gold color, taste of light beer and seltzer. Nothing much going on here. Gethinbeer (995), Nova Scotia, Canada Feb 15, 2009 From can. urine yellow/orange in colour. Crisp white head. Medium carbonation. Sweet honey flavour, slick syrup texture. Slight hint of malt. A little different than other lagers this style. A bit to chemically and not that good. BroSpud (584), , Massachusetts, USA Feb 15, 2009 12oz Bottles. Drank these in France. The french Bud. Not very good. Skunky and bland. joeyplush (328), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 14, 2009 Skunky aroma out of the bottle. May have something to do with the brewers. Clear gold with a foamy white head and ok lacing. Aroma of cereal/grain and some light citrus hops. Taste of malt/barley with a cereal/grain aftertaste. DBob5150 (31), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Feb 13, 2009 Good Euro lager. Not too heavy. A little malty, but in a good way. Golden body. Actually enjoyed it more from tap than a bottle. Not necessarily on my buy again list, but not bad.
