| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Draft. This had a distinct metallic flavor but different than say Heiniken. I thought this was good but would not pay a premium price for it. illidurit (872), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Poured into a pint glass. Crystal clear gold color with an off white head. The foam is 2 fingers high and leaves a surprisingly thick coat of lacing on the glass. Great retention too, none of the fizziness of the typical crappy pale lager.
Aroma is faint, non skunk but not much of anything at all. Maybe a touch of grain and a touch of corn.
Flavor is very light, with toasted grain and a bit of adjunct sweetness. No hops, no skunk. Watery.
Palate is well carbonated and thin, and utterly refreshing. Flavor falls off a cliff leaving no lingering aftertaste. Pretty crisp, maybe a little residual stickiness from the adjuncts.
Decent pale lager, easy to drink. dwaggs2 (534), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a straw yellow with a two finger white head. Head disappears quickly. Aroma is skunky and malty, some corn is present. Flavor is crisp and clean. Very easy drinking beer. scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent and active white head. A very active beer, with lots of bubbles coming up. Looks tantalizing in the glass. Taste is of malt and hops with some sweetness. Has a nice bitterness to it. Aroma is the same. Very refreshing and pleasant to drink. I am impressed with this beer and look forward to buying it again. Also the bottle is pretty unique looking. DutchCrow (20), Alkmaar, Netherlands
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 2, 2008 I liked the normal Kronenbourg better. Golden colour. Taste is very hard to define. Not much of a fast drinking beer. Tastes a bit metallic and too sparkling. tgncc (809), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 28, 2008 I’m nt a fan of this style, but for a palelager this isn’t bad. The apearance is straw gold, with an orange tinge. The aroma is earthy, malty. The flavor is less sweet and slightly more hoppy for this style. The palate has a refreshing bitterness. OK for what it is. Kaizen666 (16), , New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 28, 2008 I tipped back bottles of these in London before a Football match. Slightly floral aroma, yellow color. Crisp flavor, a bit watery, but still a clean flavor. Decent and enjoyable. When I grabbed some here in the States my idiot friends lambasted me for drinking a ’French Beer’, and drawing that kind of stupidity out of morons ups the rating a bit.
