scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent and active white head. A very active beer, with lots of bubbles coming up. Looks tantalizing in the glass. Taste is of malt and hops with some sweetness. Has a nice bitterness to it. Aroma is the same. Very refreshing and pleasant to drink. I am impressed with this beer and look forward to buying it again. Also the bottle is pretty unique looking. DutchCrow (20), Alkmaar, Netherlands Sep 2, 2008 I liked the normal Kronenbourg better. Golden colour. Taste is very hard to define. Not much of a fast drinking beer. Tastes a bit metallic and too sparkling. tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Aug 28, 2008 I’m nt a fan of this style, but for a palelager this isn’t bad. The apearance is straw gold, with an orange tinge. The aroma is earthy, malty. The flavor is less sweet and slightly more hoppy for this style. The palate has a refreshing bitterness. OK for what it is. Kaizen666 (16), , New York, USA Aug 28, 2008 I tipped back bottles of these in London before a Football match. Slightly floral aroma, yellow color. Crisp flavor, a bit watery, but still a clean flavor. Decent and enjoyable. When I grabbed some here in the States my idiot friends lambasted me for drinking a ’French Beer’, and drawing that kind of stupidity out of morons ups the rating a bit. danielyabu (269), União da Vitória, Brazil Aug 26, 2008 se inclui na ampla categoria de cervejas que não apresentam grande diferencial.
shoestring (187), larkhall, Scotland Aug 26, 2008 Updated: Sep 2, 2008Nice out of bottle or on tap . New chiled verion on tap in County Hotel, North Berwick. Citrus comes through, especially on tap. Bottled not too far behind. I hate the cans immensely. MrAleman (111), Wiltshire, England Aug 24, 2008 Updated: Jun 1, 2009One of the worst lagers around is Kronenbourg from France. Typical lager tasted and apperance - quite a strong flavour compared to some lagers but no real surprise given its 5% ABV. I’m afraid I cannot be drinking Kronenbourg again it is well known for its hangover effects and having quite a lot of chemicals in so I would recommend avoiding this beer whenever possible. WallyWalrus (205), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours an effervescent clear straw color with a good white head. Aroma is light and somewhat sweet, with a smell of malt, earth, floral hops, and an odd skunkiness. Taste is fairly full, with a malty body predominated by a mingling of sweet hops and earthy grains and yeast. Thoroughly average overall, and actually rather good for the style.
