EFC1878 (291), Manchester, Greater Manchester, England May 27, 2008 Updated: Aug 25, 2008Barely acceptable, bog-standard fare. Overly sweet and lacking enough hop character and not enough body - it really is a beer of last resort. Not as bad as Carlsberg’s other products but it’s not difficult to find something better. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA May 26, 2008 12oz green bottle obtained at Tiger Town in Gardiner. Pours a golden-yellow body with a good half inch of nearly-white somewhat rocky head that slowly dissipates clinging to the side of the glass to create some nice lacing. Great looking for a Euro-lager. Smells somewhat sweet, peppery, some cooked vegetable... Tastes sweet, sweet caramel malt, some pepper, hints of hops and DMS/cooked vegetable. The more I have, the better it tastes. Light in body and very drinkable. Definitely could see having a few of these on a hot day, but for the price I’d probably go with something domestic instead. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA May 22, 2008 Can, #372 Pretty typical pale lager. Drank it out of the can, so not sure on appearance or aroma, but I’m sure its typical lager. Decent beer. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 21, 2008 light and slightly dry, not a whole lot of flavor going on. but still enjoyable, it comes across a tad grainy actually. another standard pale lager. wheresthepath (523), Buckinghamshire, England May 15, 2008 [330ml bottle at my Dad’s] Smooth, soft, fruity, good balance of sweet and bitter. Surprisingly good for a mass-produced lager, would happily have again. texasbartender (160), Sugarland, Texas, USA May 13, 2008 The beer poured a light golden color. It had a fine white head that didn’t last long. The taste was light with just a hint of hops. The beer is very watery. I would call it drinkable but not crave-able. Grossecaisse (108), France May 12, 2008 Updated: May 14, 2008cereal, floral, golden, clear, frothy, medium sourness, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, medium body, sticky, astringent, yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 12, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a slowly collapsing creamy and white head. Aroma is grassy to cornish, seems dry. Flavour is medium sweet cornish with a mild caramel malt note and a light bitterness into the finish. Good thirst quencer.
