Derek881 (489), Frederick, Maryland, USA Feb 9, 2008 I tried this beer on draft in Paris, while waiting for a train. It had a clear gold color with an ample, foamy, white head that had good retention and cling on the glass. It had a mild, grainy hop aroma, and a somewhat bland, light malt tone too. The taste was mostly sour and bitter, and also a bit dull. It had a mild level of carbonation and a thinner, dry palate. It is an unexceptional beer, without a unique character. scrizzz (1252), kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 20, 2008 wow this is bad. smells a bit skunky and sharp. pale gold, small head. reminds me of coors light. i couldn’t finish it. lithilorn (169), Covilhã, Portugal Jan 19, 2008 Bottle, medium yellow body and white head. not very good aroma of malty grass. taste bad and poor beer. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 19, 2008 Clear color. Smell of skunk, malt, hops, corn and grains. Taste the same. Very watery. sandollor (47), Germany Jan 15, 2008 Not your typical green bottle pale. Had a bite with lots of carbonation and a watery after taste. It’s not as bad as I thought after the first one. Is a malty pale lager that satisfies that taste if that’s what you want. This may be France’s most popular, but hopefully not their best beer. Acarotibia (57), Santiago de Compostela, Spain Jan 15, 2008 Too soft aroma.
Soft golden colour and soft foam too.
Soft wood flavor with fruit notes in palate.
Not an awfully bad beer, but it is not a meal beer neither a refreshing one. FarFromHome (82), Philadelphia, Alabama, USA Jan 9, 2008 Sold in Morocco in tall-boy cans (50 cl) in specialty stores. Pale in colour, a bit watery. Has some sort of quasi-fruit like aftertaste that bothers me a little bit. Rather syrupy- throat feels like I just drank a gallon of soda. Not as bad as most beers in Morocco, but nothing special. Could be Pabst for all I care.
On an unrelated note, back home in Philadlephia, this is considered a "classy" beer in the trendy hipster bars. Ugh. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland Jan 9, 2008 Pale colour, white head. Some grassy hops noticable in aroma and flavour. Sad beer.
