| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 8, 2007 Pale bronze hue came with a quickly dissipating foamy white head. The aroma is fairly bland, mostly wheat and cereal grain along with bottled applesauce and the faintest hint of woodsy hops. Sweet malt and corn flavour initially, surprisingly acidic and sharp middle, flowing into a grainy, peppery finish. Medium to light bodied, reasonably firm texture, explosive carbonation. Other than the applesauce and acidity, I don’t suppose there’s much technically wrong here, but there’s nothing to cause excitement. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2007 From the tap in a shaker glass. First impression was that I was somehow drinking a Riesling -- companions disagreed, with my wife saying "it’s not Riesling, honey, it’s just boring beer." As usual, she’s right. The best part about it was that someone else paid for it. VERY average in every respect. kmweaver (2431), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 4, 2007 12oz bottle, delicately aged by jasonp. Thanks, Jason! Pours a clear, pale yellow color; white head that quickly fades. Slightly skunky at first, corn and sugar in the aroma; not very offensive, just bland. Light-to-medium sugar and mild citrus mouthfeel: bland but drinkable; quick, sugar and citrus finish. Not much here. thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bottle. Very average pale lager with faint sweetness, average balance, and pleasant but mild flavor. Nothing to rave or rant about here. Prefer Carlsberg, Moretti, or Kingfisher to this in the import pale lager department. BlackForestCO (820), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 27, 2007 From old notes. Poured from a bottle. Poured a typical yellow color with a minimal white head. Light aroma of corn, wheat, and hops. Flavor is basically the same. Pretty simple and one dimensional, but not horrible. Ok as far as lagers go, but I won’t pay for one. | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Pours a light golden color with a white head. Aroma is light of wheat, grassiness, and some slight floral hops. Flavor is a little stronger then I expected with wheat, grass, and floral hops. Better then the typical pale lager but still nothing special.
