scoth (266), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Sep 12, 2009 Pours clear straw-gold, with a one-finger white head, good and lasting lacing. Earthy bohemian hop aroma, with a caramel undertone. Light bodied, crisp. Very mild flavors of caramel, apple, and biscuit. No obvious defects. phaleslu (427), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 12, 2009 Draft pint at Nicholson’s in downtown Cincinnati, and served in a nice Kronenbourg 1664 glass. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma of hops, wheat, grass, honey, bread. Flavor follows suit. Light body, mild carbonation, crisp. Quick finish. I think this is the first French beer I’ve ever had. It’s overpriced, but not as bad as other raters have suggested. Stellaaaa (57), Tennessee, USA Sep 5, 2009 Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. It has an aroma of sweet malt and bitter hops with some fusel oil smellable. It has a crisp, bubbly mouthfeel and tastes of bitter hops and fusel oil with a hint of sweetness from the malt. JediMindTricks (240), Hampton, Virginia, USA Aug 31, 2009 Light yellow with carby bubbles but little white head. Aroma of grassy wheat and a mild taste to match. Fair palate and finish. pootzboy (1037), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2009 Can from LCBO singles bin:
I’ve put off sampling this one for years and now I realize my disdain for pretentious canned euro import lagers was justified.
Poured a limpid pale gold. short lived white cap, faint aroma of grainds and grassy hops and some funk ( I could be tasting a stale sample)
Weak mouth. light peppery palate ( over carbonated) grainy tstes but sweet spartan hopping for a Euro lager...fast uneventful finish. To weak and sweetish without balance.
At $2.55 a half liter this is totally overpriced. HughConway (364), Alabama, USA Aug 22, 2009 Industrial lager widely distributed. Not as bad as Stell Artois but who can be bothered to differentiate. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 16, 2009 Oh boy this stuff is terrible - with an accent. Keep this stuff in France, please! AlcoholForMe (16), Dorset, England Aug 12, 2009 Oh why oh why do i aways feel so bad when i tink about this beer it reminds me of the time i felt so crap once upon a time hmm u would think the french would know better than 2 serve up this nonsense of a lager jokey!!!
