MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Jun 20, 2007 A Mes rate:
Baker Street ’Spoons. Poo the bed it’s awful. Sorry it just really is. I have had more offensive tasting beers for sure but this is such an unimaginative example of mediocrity that it most probably deserves an even lower score. jimhilt (1663), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jun 20, 2007 Pours a one-finger white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving traces of lace. Crystal clear amber color. Slight malty nose. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is balanced with some sweetness, nearly clean finish. Part of meal at La Nouvelle Eve Paris, France. 750ml green bottle - best by Aug 2007. Label has ABV at 5.5%. PeterA (339), Virginia, USA Jun 19, 2007 can. Very faint aroma. Yellow color with hints of gold. While this is a pale lager, the hops are noticable, making for a nicely balanced, slightly more enjoyable beer than I expected. This is no great beer, but it’s still pleasant. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Jun 18, 2007 Pours pale gold with a thin white head. Grainy and grassy with a light crisp finish. Nothing horrible about this beer. I got a good bottle so it had no skunking. greenmanalishi (294), Leicestershire, England Jun 17, 2007 my favourite out of the available mainstream lagers in the uk (budweiser, carling, carlsberg/export, stella, grolsch) a little more character, though not much RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Jun 5, 2007 Deep gold in color, fizzy white head. Both aroma and flavor are fairly standard pale lager, save for the slightly sour finish. Was not a big fan. OleR (2008), Oslo, Norway Jun 3, 2007 Comes in a ’fancy’ designer bottle. Pours clear and plain golden with a mostly lasting white head. Prominent aroma of light skunky and light grassy hops. Notes of bread and sweetish malts. Some malty and hoppy flavors, but taste is mainly unfresh and slight sour. Fair body. Unbalanced, edgy mouthfeel. Maybe a foul bottle, re-rate pending.
beervis (223), People’s Republic of Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, England May 27, 2007 This is actually pretty drinkable - Has nice fluffy white head and fizzy gold colour, leaves good lacing. Aroma a little metallic, malt, flowery hops. Goes down smooth, a little sweet, a little bitterness in the finish. As continental mass-market lagers go this one is pretty good really.
