anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Feb 9, 2007 Can. Pours a clear golden color with a longlasting white head. Sweet malty grassy aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with some bready and grassy hints. Long malty finish with some sweetness. Has some bitterness in the aftertaste. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA Feb 8, 2007 Average lager. Sweet, perfumey smelling. Flavor is sweet but not much else. Lacks complexity. jaid6 (26), Ohio, USA Feb 8, 2007 it’s not expensive and it’s easily obtainable. Agreed, it’s nothing fantastic or groundbreaking, but it’s still enjoyably crisp. i perfer this to stella JustinBathurst (134), Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada Feb 7, 2007 Pours a crystal clear yellow that reminds me too much of other unenjoyed recent endeavours. The head is a cream-coloured froth that disappears into a trace of large, spidery bubbles.
The smell is strong on the grassy side, with hints of celery and apple peeping through here and there.
The mouthfeel is average on the carbonation, but seems a bit watery.
The taste is initially honeyed, but watered down, with a metallic bitter finish that doesn’t seem to give its all. A bit of delicate roasted malt is noticed, but over time it wears to become too astringent. Through the glass, the notes become more tart and tangy, but it all adds up to an unlikeable clash. Not bad. Not good. Somewhere in the middle of the beer void... tomthompson89 (1459), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 5, 2007 pissy bland lager, definate corn nose, piss yellow, tasyes of corn, some bitterness on the finish, boring. sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 1, 2007 On tap @ McNulty’s Bier Market: Clear golden color with a white head. Aromas of barley and yeast. Tastes of sweet malt flavour with a slight bitter hop finish. A nice lager but it doesn’t stand out from the crowd.
