daniel0017 (232), Ontario, Canada Jan 22, 2007 From a 500mL can: Pours a nice dark gold with some carbonation and has a nice frothy white head of two fingers. Aroma is sweet and floral with some hops. Overall the aroma is quite promising, which leads us to the flavor: Bland corn some malted barley and faint hops with a fruity, bitter finish. Overall, I’d say that this is a good beer. Although the flavor was the only real disappointment, this beverage is getting very poor recognition. aknod (16), USA Jan 21, 2007 Maybe I’m retarded about french stuff. I like it. This beer pours nice with a big head. Its great for a long football game. Its one of my personal favorites..but again, I’m retarded about french shi*. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia Jan 21, 2007 Had a 250ml can of this on an Air France flight to, of course, France. This being my first French beer of the trip I was highly disappointed. This can’t even hold its own around other macro brewed lagers. Smells skunked, taste is sour, bitter and intrepid. More like a badly spoiled champagne. Repulsive, avoid if you can. eyesandsmiles (179), Mission Viejo, California, USA Jan 18, 2007 Its basically like any macro from the US. I had a choice between this and heineken in my dorm in cannes... wernesgruner (45), USA Jan 17, 2007 inital taste is like a sweet beer but then the aftertaste is like budweiser with hops. nothing special, im glad i only bought 6 jtw (942), farmington, Michigan, USA Jan 16, 2007 from a 12-oz rocket-shaped bottle - a lager which smells primarily of malt with little else aside from a hint of anjou and green apple. flavor is similar with a surprisingly small presence of hops despite their advertisement of ’aromatic hops from alsace.’ no detractors from this beer - its decent score is because it’s just that there isn’t anything wrong with it. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Jan 12, 2007 Updated: Jan 19, 2007Actually smells better than it tastes...so whilst promising a great deal only partially delivers. Still largely enjoyable though altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jan 3, 2007 Bottle at home. Lightweight, fizzy lager. Bit of a sweet apples, sour and minty taste to it. Fair enough.
