homersimpsin (40), South Melbourne, Australia Nov 17, 2006 Not bad! Full flavoured beer, I didn’t know the French made beer, very enjoyable beer! Well done, as good as any other mass produced beers. ehhdayton (1113), USA Nov 16, 2006 Pours a pale golden color with a decent size fluffy white head. The aroma is light and slightly light malty aroma and some graininess. The flavor is light somewhat grainy with very light bitter bight and light watery finish. DJC (238), USA Nov 14, 2006 Nice golden color, with a quickly fading, slightly lacing head. There’s absolutely nothing special about this lager, but it certainly doesn’t offend, either. Clean flavor, with only a slight bitterness. Would pair well with many lightly flavored dishes. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Nov 10, 2006 I was unfamiliar with Kronenbourg, so I figured this would be a German beer. When the waiter at the Alibi Room brought it to the table, he said think of it as the French Budweiser. So, I took my first taste with my expectations recalibrated to the low end of the scale, and surprisingly it’s not all that bad. All the traditional pale lager things are going on here, but there is also an initial hint of creamy sweetness. TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Nov 1, 2006 Who let the skunk out! Imagine light struck Heineken in a cool bottle. I wouldn’t even cook with this crap. HarryFlashman (469), Chatham, Kent, England Nov 1, 2006 Updated: Nov 27, 2006This is about the best of the mass produced European lagers that are freely avaliable in most UK pubs. Typical amber lager colour. Fairly strong tasting, slightly creamy and not too sweet like some of your US lagers, but nothing special, though much better than filth like Foster’s, Carling, Carlsberg etc.. Overall, pretty average - I would rather seek out a pub that serves decent (English) real ale (i.e. Fullers or Shepherd Neame) or bottled German Weissbier. mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Oct 30, 2006 Another bad French beer. Compared to virtually every other European beer, this falls short. Tastes like watery lager, with too little hops and taste. If I were given a choice between this and Bud I would actually have a hard time deciding. jainsv (112), USA Oct 22, 2006 Decent lager, though nothing particularly great. Decent hop flavor, a pretty average beer.
