Who let the skunk out! Imagine light struck Heineken in a cool bottle. I wouldn’t even cook with this crap.

This is about the best of the mass produced European lagers that are freely avaliable in most UK pubs. Typical amber lager colour. Fairly strong tasting, slightly creamy and not too sweet like some of your US lagers, but nothing special, though much better than filth like Foster’s, Carling, Carlsberg etc.. Overall, pretty average - I would rather seek out a pub that serves decent (English) real ale (i.e. Fullers or Shepherd Neame) or bottled German Weissbier.

Another bad French beer. Compared to virtually every other European beer, this falls short. Tastes like watery lager, with too little hops and taste. If I were given a choice between this and Bud I would actually have a hard time deciding.

Decent lager, though nothing particularly great. Decent hop flavor, a pretty average beer.

Bottle sampled at the Newtown Brewfest with the Mad Indian and Beerded_one. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is skunked, grassy hops and grain. The flavor is skunked also, with a slight grassy hop bitter finish. Worse beer of the event.

Drank with Stegosaurus and Beereded_one at Newton brew fest. One of the worst beers I had at the festival. Pours gold serious skunk / grass smell and bad after taste.

Draught at the Motley Cow in Iowa City, IA. Clear golden color. Bubbly white head had some staying power and left some spotted lace on the glass. Skunky, sprucy hop aroma with a whiff of malty cereal grain and honey. Grassy flavor accented by malty cereal grain. Dry on the tongue with subdued bitterness.

Crisp and refreshing. Goes down smooth. The cleanest tasting lager I have ever tasted. I think this is my favourite.
