kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Aug 29, 2006 Nothing special about this one. Had it in the states and in Europe. Tasted watery and metallic both times. Aroma is incredibly skunky. Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA Aug 26, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a pale amber with a medium-thick white head with large bubbles that fade quickly. Smellys barely skunky. Has a very dry and earthy taste at first. Slightly rotten hops even?! It has an overlying citrusy taste as well. The palate is to my disliking, as it dries my tounge out considerably. Not a "Premium" lager, in my opinion. jimthechap (174), Christchurch, New Zealand Aug 22, 2006 Slightly bland in terms of flavour for someone who is determined to find their perfect beer. But this lager does no harm if you aren’t paying too much attention. I have tried and trusted this beer to get me through hours of watching cricket in the sun and it has never let me down. Would I trust it to impress if I served it with a meal? No. This beer has a time and a place. MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA Aug 17, 2006 got a bottle at old chicago. not sure if sat around too long or if it’s usually skunky. thin with skank, dry, not enjoyable. punkrkr27 (606), Berkley, Michigan, USA Aug 15, 2006 Very pale yellow, sweet sour aroma (not in a good way). Flavor much of the same. Watery thin body. Not good at all.
Even a PBR would be better than this sutff. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA Aug 14, 2006 Should have known from the green bottle what was in store. Much lighter than I anticipated, a bit bitter, but not overly, Would I buy again? Probably not, but I’ve had much worse. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Aug 14, 2006 This had a real skunky smell. Quite terrible actually. Flavour was quite bland with a touch of sweet malt if anything. Light to medium bodied, but in saying that if it was any stronger it would probably have me gagging. Quite gassy too. I knew the French weren’t good at anything... LordCrabapple (83), Merseyside, England Aug 9, 2006 Tried this in a smoky, crowded pub and could not distinguish it from Fosters. There is a difference, I know, but.....
