On tap, King’s Head, Winnipeg. In the bottle, too. Although this beer has that Heinekenesque skunky smell, the end result is much more appealing to the palate than that of its Dutch counterpart. A smooth beer that goes down great with food.

(bottle - 12 oz) Pale and clear yellow pour with a thin and fizzy white head. Very carbonated. Light and bitter aroma with some hints of corn and a touch of something sweet. Couldn’t really identify it though. Flavor is very watery, bitter, and metallic. Loads of corn throughout. Finish is watery and sour.

Poured pale gold, crystal clear. Sudsy pure white head, didn’t last, little lace. Aroma on the line between skunky and grapefruity, som sweet malt, herbs and cardboard. Flavor had some malt sugar, but was mostly spicy, herbal hops. Fair bitterness. Mouthfeel okay. Just your basic euro. If you lived through the 70s, you’ll remember the first "German" (mostly Heinekin, Lowenbrau, Tuborg, Becks, Dab, euro brews). This reminded me of them. Boy we thought they were so sophisticated then.

On Tap in Winchester UK. Clear golden color. Light head. Skunky after taster. Not very tasty. Reminds me of a budweiser (Sorry if I sound too extreme).

A pretty lousy beer from a generally lousy beer country. If you are traveling through France, would will unfortunately find this everywhere. My advice: learn to like wine.
