hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden May 30, 2006 Pale yellow, fizzy white head. Corny nose with some hay. Somewhat malty flavour with a little sweetness. Fairly hoppy at the end. GG (1613), NorCal, California, USA May 22, 2006 How can a place like France, so close to the Belgium border, create such a concoction so horrible that thirsty nomads in the Saharan desert wouldn’t drink? I mean really. Someone in France make a beer that doesn’t taste like crap. Please. Aroma of grainy mildewy, rotten skunk. A lifeless, golden hue with no bubbles and little head. A watery grave of a mouthfeel, so thin that it’s water like. An unpalatable, malty sweet skunk that is just simply not pleasing at all. This would have been a drainpour had I not paid for this. sanmiguel (118), Illinois, USA May 22, 2006 I’ve always wanted to try this beer, since we couldn’t get this in Illinois, so I drove across the border to Kenosha, Wisconsin to get a 6-pack. Bottled. Pours an amber body, and a frothy head. It had a strong skunky scent, so I prepared for the worst....tasted pretty good! Strong hoppy taste and an astringent finish. Pretty refreshing! I wasn’t disappointed. Now that I had Kro 1664, I could finally now drink "real beer." markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA May 14, 2006 33cl bottle. Very good standard lager, excellent with curry’s or anything else spicy that needs a decently strong beer to soothe the tastebuds. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA May 11, 2006 Light malt and spice nose; dull body and light spicy finish, clean and pretty weak; not terrible, but another dull one. ironryan22 (52), Sydney, Australia May 8, 2006 another uninteresting lager, very easy to drink in large quantities. Should be cheaper beerlady (443), lucerne, Switzerland Apr 26, 2006 bought on can
head is not very impressive
clear-golden
smells hoppy and malty,smellssweet
tasts hoppyer than it smells, but not very hoppy, tasts less sweet than it smells, some hidden bread-taste.
aftertaste hoppy and a bit of bread-like taste too.
not very complex flavours but refreshing, not bad.better than much other ,more booring lagers.good to drink on a warm summerday outdoors, perhaps with a meal from "alsace2(the french region where it comes from),for example "flammkuchen",but not a beer to drink in the evening with good friends for discussing about the taste.
unibrouefan (124), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Apr 15, 2006 A french beer in my best beer. Incredible. I compare this beer to "Bass" beer. Great color, strong but great taste. You need to try this beer. I don’t really agree on the rating of 2.32.
